Squatting is a relatively new phenomenon in Estonia, as is the movement itself. So far we have had three attempts at creating a squat. The fourth, located in Anna Haava 7A, the most successful squat in Estonia so far and the first one in Tartu, is now facing possible eviction. We strive to keep our house, for that we need the support from both the local and the international community.
Violent Squat Eviction in St Petersburg: Three Activists Face 10 Years in Prison
On 4th February, at around 10pm local time, riot police brutally evicted a group of anarchists, community activists and local history enthusiasts who had been occupying a disused railway station, Warsaw station, in St Petersburg, Russia.
Hearing that the site would soon be demolished to make way for a multi-storey housing complex, the activists had turned one of the last warehouses attached to the historic train station into a community centre, hosting concerts, poetry readings and a photo-exhibition of the history of the station.

Repression can’t bend the militants
We are experiencing historical moments. Let’s act accordingly. All of us signing this declaration of solidarity with Villa Amalias Squat are aware of the fierce attack unleashed by the Greek state on free spaces and every other expression of social/political resistance.
Villa Amalias is one of the oldest and most historical squats in Athens/Greece, well known for its multilevel presence within the radical movement, a place of creative fermentations, anti-commercial cultural activities and reference point for the building of relationships based on equality, solidarity and anti-authority.
November 11 2012 – Wagenburg Breslau
On 11th November 2012 about 7 pm., after the march of the patriots organized by NOP (National Rebirth of Poland) party, a group of over 100 people invaded the premises of ALTERNA VITA Centre for Green Technologies association for ecology and education. After an unsuccessful attempt to force the entrance gate, they got inside through a neighbouring lot (owned by Gant company). Using stones, flares, bottles and truncheons, they unexpectedly attacked the residents and friends of the Association, 16 people altogether. In the course of the incident two people were brutally beaten (broken arm, head injury). One of them was admitted to hospital in a critical state.

Warsaw: Press release Elba squat
On the 16th of March around 11am a group of workers from “Skrzecz” security agency entered unlawfully the premises of Elba, an alternative social centre in Warsaw. The security was hired by the landlord, the Finnish company Stora Enso. At this time there were several people on the ground who were beaten and forced out of the buildings. The security agents left a path of destruction inside the buildings and took away belongings of the residents of the squat. In the course of actions of the secutity agents money disappeared. This unlawful raid and illegal actions were actively supported by a group of police officers. As a matter of fact they made it impossible to defend against the agression of the security agents and did not react on countless incidents of breaking the law.

New squat in Cologne, Germany: Our first statement
On 2nd March 2012 we, a group of leftist people, squatted an abandoned building at Deutz-Mülheimer-Straße, near the old industrial complex of the KHD-Group in Cologne.
We want to develop a collective here. The squat is a place for both, working and living beside the capitalistic enforcement. We want to live with each other without hierarchically structured regulation.
