Catalonia: Police persecution, so normal

The police station of the Mossos d’Esquadra of Banyoles demonstrate their commitment to the repression against the anarchists. At the moment they act under the pseudonym of traffic police but make it clear who they are trying to intimidate by their worst gunmen on duty… as it is not pure chance that they stop and threaten the same person 3 times in a week. This same comrade also suffers persecution by secret-police officers in Barcelona…so clumsy that it´s difficult not to recognize them, as for example last Tuesday, May 28th (15.40h; c/Nació; Clot).

One of the gunmen from Banyoles cops was already known to us as he once pointed his gun at our comrade, 7 years ago, with no reason in a traffic control (exit AP-7 Girona Nord) and then threatened to kill him! Logically he refused to give his badge number then but now threatens to fine the comrade between 600 and 30.000 Euro for not having a Spanish residence and driving a car registered in his country of origin in the EU… (anything is possible with the Gag Law!).
Also recently the cops appeared several times at his home (a house in the countryside) which gives the suspicion that he is being investigated “at ground” to fuck up his life again after evicting his squat one year ago (Kan Bici).

Being consistent with your ideas can be dangerous in this country already that even the “alternative” bars are full of secret-cops and police “out of service” to control what cooks and talks, what consume and who knows whom.

This is how free we can feel until the opposite is proved…
800 reasons to rebel against all domination and authority!

Trespass [ES version]

Trespass Journal Issue Three

We’re glad to finally present Issue 3 of Trespass Journal!

In this issue, which is online and freely distributed, you’ll find a translation from English to Dutch of a journal article about how a moral panic was generated to enforce the criminalisation of squatting in the Netherlands and a translation to French of a brief text about migration on Idomeni in Greece, near to Macedonia, which was previously published in Trespass 2 in Italian.

As interventions in five languages, we have an analysis of the lack of support to the ZAD in Brittany, plus short pieces about the opening of a new anarchist social centre in the Paris suburbs, community resistance to preserve a park in London, the demolition of a community gym in Athens, an (unsuccessful) eviction threat in Catania, and an eviction in Catalonia. And a report on the resquat of the watertower in Utrecht! There’s plenty more news and analysis on this website.

Madrid-Barcelona: Estate agents attacked in solidarity with the CSOA La Gatonera and the CSO Ka La Trava

Thursday September 27, the windows of estate agency Tecnocasa in Vallekas were shattered. The agency was also covered in paint. This action aims to encourage the comrades of the CSOA La Gatonera (Carabanchel-Madrid) and Ka La Trava (Gràcia-Barcelona), as well as all the people who struggle in defence of squats as a revolutionary tool.
Neighbourhoods are being transformed by capitalist speculation, gentrification being a tightening of screws in a cyclical process that affects all the cities of the world. Real estate agencies and other capitalist entities such as banks and speculators are responsible. Let’s spread the attack against them and build bridges based on solidarity and attack.
Refusing to negotiate with the State, the town hall or private property and resisting the scoundrels and the police must have an echo of solidarity in the form of seeking and spreading the struggle. This is only the beginning and we call for the reproduction of the attack, overcoming any path of mediation and negotiation with power. We do not negotiate with the State and capital. [Read More]

Tagamanent (Catalonia): Suspension of judicial process. The Moli remains!

We have achieved a “temporary” procedural suspension of our judicial process, enabling us to challenge this masquerade of justice. This seems to be the only way to face the complaint of express eviction proposed by the owner, thus giving us time to defend ourselves judicially and demonstrate all the work done during these years.

Even so, we know that we do not have much time and that we have to be attentive to prepare our response with all possible means to stop the eviction. During the next days there will be activities, support meals and actions from home, we hope to continue to face all together.

Thanks to all of you for the support received with calls, messages and visits to the house to participate and help in everything we have needed these days. [Read More]

Tagamanent (Catalonia): The Moli under eviction threat. The Moli remains!

After 7 years of effort to build the Molí de la Torre de Tagamanent in Catalonia, a parcel that had been abandoned and forgotten for more than 20 years, the state security forces, ordered by those above and without prior notice or option for negotiation, want to evict the house in 10 days, forcing us to abandon the house and the project.

Against urban speculation, the massive requalification of land, express evictions and fucking capitalism, we denounce the usual culprits for generating situations of precariousness, helplessness and social discontent.

WE WILL NOT STOP DEFENDING WHAT WE BELIEVE
WE WON’T STOP STARTING PROJECTS
WE DON’T BELIEVE YOUR STORY
YOU DON’T GIVE US ANY FEAR

Galliners (Catalonia): Kan Bici evicted

Hi friends and comrades!

Last Thursday 10th of May at 10.30h in the morning appeared the owner with some thugs without uniform in front of Kan Bici, little bit after arrived 3 cop-cars (Mossos) and a judicial adept from the court of Girona who decided to force the main-door (without exit) but later they forced the back-door of the garden while the neighbor “worked” with a grass-cutting machine… We were only two and not really animated to have a fight with the cops, so they gave us 10 minutes to take all stuff which we couldn’t take out before. The small number of assistants during the called acts of the resistance-week of Kan Bici and the ignorance condemned the squat to eviction. The fear to express the opinion in public is the collaboration with the daily perpetrated crimes. From the comrades very few solidarity, but we know why we’re in this situation and what are their means with which they manipulate and distort reality. Always against evictions, yesterday like today, our only weapon is the solidarity expressed in the streets. The silence kills! From the new squat greetings of complicity with the diverse resistances around the world, specially warm greetings for the comrades of the ZAD (Brittany) and the arrested anarchist comrades in Indonesia. The life continue be a struggle which we choose to make us strong and look for the confrontation with this corrupt and false system which just knows the option between be a slave and/or pay what they ask for or the permanent struggle againsttheir ties and traps. They can evict our squats but our ideas they never will change! As they sow misery there will be rebellion! Not forgotten nor forgiven! Health and Anarchy (from a really nice place)! [Read More]

Galliners (Catalonia): Kan Bici resists! Week of Resistance against the eviction, 4 till 11 may

Hi comrades and friends! The eviction of Kan Bici is probably taking place on May 10th 2018 and it is assumed that the “forces of order” will do their dirty work in a matter or otherwise. We want to invite you to participate in the activities that we have been able to prepare for the week of resistance (still missing things to confirm). We ask for the maximum diffusion of the posters added to this mail. Apart from the prepared activities is the call for decentralized actions for the day of eviction that leaves “free hand” to all of you to act as a result of their anarchist/revolutionary ideas against the system of domination and his defenders.
Between all we can prevent the eviction of Kan Bici!
Long live the Anarchy!

Barcelona: Can Bee Update

CSO La Palmira has been permanently evicted.

Some of us opened a CSO (social center okupa) at the old hippy house Can Bee and are actively supporting the squat network in Kollserola, the nature park north of Barcelona.

The collective works together to recycle food at the market and has monthly meetings, rotating between the squats Ca l’Avia, La Experimental, Matakrostas (if we resist eviction tomorrow!), La Folklorika, 7 Mansions, La Xesca, Kan Pasqual and Can Masdeu. We’re forming working groups for police repression, a radical library, and a comprehensive directory of abandoned houses in the area.

We are also promoting a local fair currency and a food co-op. [Read More]

Barcelona: Fascists burn Ateneu Popular de Sarrià

While the Spanish government and the press in Madrid have not stopped talking about violence by citizens and pro-independence groups, this morning (March29) fascists burned the Ateneu de Sarrià and painted it with Nazi and fascist symbols.

The site had already suffered attacks in advance, which have intensified since the referendum was held. On the walls of the patio have appeared swastikas,”Death to the CDR” (Citizens Defense).

Barcelona: How solidarity and mutual aid saved Barcelona’s Can Vies Squat for eviction and destruction

bcn27m_9The Can Vies social centre in Barcelona made headlines around the world when its eviction led to five consecutive nights of rioting in late May 2014. But the social center has a longer history than this.

Can Vies, originally built in 1879 to stock construction materials for the city’s subway, became the headquarters of the anarcho-syndicalist CNT transport union during the 1930s Spanish Revolution. Following Franco’s victory in 1939, the building became the center for a fascist, hierarchal labor union.

In 1997, the building was abandoned by its owners, Barcelona’s transport authority (TMB), and was subsequently squatted by the neighborhood’s youth. Since then, the Centro Social Autogestionado Can Vies has become a well-used and well-loved community space providing a variety of services to the people of Sants, a neighborhood with a strong tradition of cooperatives. Lleida (Catalonia): Squatted Social Centre ‘La Chispa’ Resists Eviction

After a lengthy legal process against four ex-occupiers the vibrant, active, self-managed SPARK project among the orchards of Lleida is condemned to be evicted in the new year by capitalist speculation

original by Sergi Bertran and Sonia Perez at La Directa. … translated summary by The Free

….We are on the outskirts of Lleida city (in Lleida province). This area has undergone a major change in recent years… where there were small family orchards and country houses today they have built fast food chains, department stores, hotels and luxury villas. The companies and new owners of the land have been moving out the locals, buying up their land at high prices…

Barcelona: 15 injured in riots against eviction of the expropriated bank

seeding mutual aidThe ‘Expropriated Bank’, a self-managed occupied social center in the beautiful Gracia barrio of Barcelona, has finally fallen. Symbol of resistance to repression and austerity , colleagues called for the occupation of 1000 more banks.

Seeding Mutual Aid against Capitalism

The eviction was not an easy task, it took police more than eight hours, using metal cutters, etc., to extricate the last heroes. The police struggled all day to get them out of a barrel of cement, itself inside a safe, inside the basement with metal barricades.

Meanwhile, reinforcements gathered and marched from several pre-organized points in the city until by 9.00 pm at least 2000 filled the narrow streets, but the entire front of the Bank had been welded shut with iron plates.

An army of very aggressive riot police, masked and without ID plates and with a helicopter, moved into the crowds of young people. Only for good luck no one was killed. [Read More]
