Yesterday we were once again witnesses to how being “antisystem” works in the case of the far right. Nationalists, who have been infiltrating community of football fans for years, are trying to use the popularity of football. After yesterday’s match, the “opponents” of power didn’t take the opportunity to attack the building that is represented by Platforma Obywatelska (the ruling party) – the Voivodship Office
Their “antisystem” approach is represented by smashing windows of an anarchist bookshop/cafe “Zemsta”. 40 people broke windows and destroyed the gate of the building. However, banks, including those responsible for harassment of tenants and brutal evictions, remained untouched.

Den Haag: City takes De Vloek to court. The fight goes on!
Last Friday (5-6-2014), the city of The Hague summoned social center De Vloek to court to expedite the eviction of De Vloek. On July 9th, we have to appear in court for summary proceedings. In this way, the city is also blocking its hollow offer for a replacement location.
On May 27th, the city of The Hague demanded in a letter that we agree to voluntarily depart from De Vloek before July 1st 2015. However, it is in no way apparent that the construction plans are ready for the Top Sailing Center which they want to build in the same location as De Vloek. Our lawyer has made several requests to the city to discuss documents which show that the preparations for the sailing center are in order. The city has repeatedly refused, and our question has also been rejected. Our lawyer has asked for 5 days deferment for the unrealistic response time, but this was also rejected. Thus, we haven’t been able to gain any insight into the actual progress of the plans. The city is purposely trying to build up toward a lawsuit. [Read More]

Oakland: La Idea squatted social center served eviction order
On May 29th, 2015, an eviction order was served to La Idea, a squatted social center near the Dimond District of Oakland. In two weeks, the Alameda County Sheriff will put the house on its list of upcoming evictions and will dispatch an armored personnel carrier and several armed men to the house to clear everyone out at gunpoint. In this regard, La Idea is not exceptional and thousands of people have been evicted in the same manner all over Oakland. It is simply the normal functioning of capitalism.
Amsterdam: We are Here squat evicted and demo attacked
On Friday May 29, 2015 the We Are Here refugee group left the Vluchtgebouw. This is the squatted building at Jan Tooropstraat 649 where they had taken up residence since August 2014, after they were evicted from the Vluchthaven.
The refugees left the building voluntarily, after consultation with the owner, because the building will be demolished. The owner has in the 9 months of their stay been very helpful.
Where the refugees now have to go is unclear. Except temporary accommodation there is no other place. They are looking for a REAL solution, not a shelter where they can only sleep at night and in the morning again have to leave again.

Oslo: Sales attempt on Vestbredden, Scandinavia’s oldest squat
November 2014 Oslo kommune put Hausmannsgate 40 (Vestbredden Vel Vel) out on the open market in an attempt to sell the house to private investors. 2nd of March 2015 they closed the bidding round with 5 offers. Recently they decided to give the house to the highest bidder. The final decision will most probably be decided in the city hall the 10th or 17th of June 2015. We have tried to play by the democratic rules until now, without any luck. The whole sales proces are violating the basic principles in the regulation plan of 2008, that is based on the Local Agenda 21. Vestbredden (H40) has been squatted since 1999 and is Scandinavia’s oldest squat. More info on our new webpage: vestbredden.net. We are in big need of support! Come and join us in the struggle – contact us on postbox [at] vestbredden [dot] net. Spread the word – Squat the world!
Amsterdam: New squat

Amsterdam: ADM, strange things going on around us now
On the morning of June 1st, one of us noticed this excavator near the entrance of the ADM. When this person asked what the plan was, one of the workers replied: “Making an emergency exit”. They couldn’t show their permit, so we told them to stop and come back with the proper paperwork. This is a really strange action! Especially since it’s now the breeding season…
Later on the police came to deal with the situation. They told us that no permit was required. The only thing needed is to notify the authorities and this had been done. So the workers are now continuing…. [Read More]
Paris: A JCDecaux van up in smoke in solidarity with Operation Piñata prisoners, Mónica and Francisco
In the early morning of May 27th, it smelt of burning by Télégraphe [metro station]. A JCDecaux van went up in smoke. They enrich themselves with the gentrification of cities and exploitation of convicts.
Solidarity with comrades imprisoned during the Operation Piñata in Spain. Solidarity with Mónica and Francisco.

Stockholm (Sweden): opening of a new squat, Högdalens new Folkets hus
We are a group who on Saturday 23rd May re-opened the old school building on Rangstaplan 22 in Högdalen Centrum. We did this because of the plans to demolish the building soon. The decision to do so was taken over the head of the local people. A former public space has without the local communitys’ consent been sold cheaply to a private developer who’s planning on building expensive private housing on the land. Protests and alternative suggestions, like using the building as an elderly home or community center, were ignored by the local politicians and decision makers. [Read More]
