On the morning of June 1st, one of us noticed this excavator near the entrance of the ADM. When this person asked what the plan was, one of the workers replied: “Making an emergency exit”. They couldn’t show their permit, so we told them to stop and come back with the proper paperwork. This is a really strange action! Especially since it’s now the breeding season…
Later on the police came to deal with the situation. They told us that no permit was required. The only thing needed is to notify the authorities and this had been done. So the workers are now continuing…. [Read More]
The Autonomous Center (AC) located at Willem van Outhoornstraat 17 in The Hague is being threatened with eviction. The AC has already been squatted for 5 years and provides space for such activities as a vegan folks-kitchen and the alternative bookstore Opstand. During the past 5 years, nights devoted to information, films, and debate have been organized, and there is also room for music and meetings.

On the morning of April 30 the New University Nijmegen opened the critical café Terecht! at Radboud University. This space will be a place where students, teachers and support staff can come together and discuss the role of the university. The New University Nijmegen is a movement proposing for an open, critical university for everyone. It is part of a broader national and international movement of students and teachers. With the opening of Terecht! we hope to make a contribution to the recent debate about the place of the university in society.

An organically grown village in the Western Harbor where 130 creative people have been living and working for over 18 years. They have now been summoned by the owners to leave the premises. The owners presented vague plans, which may cause a vast financial loss for the municipality.

In this topic we will post updates on the people that were arrested in the Spuistraat eviction
On the 25th of March the Tabaksbanden in the Spuistraat got evicted. 16 People were arrested. As far as we know, they all got charged with public violence and/or breaking public order. All arrestees are in Zuid-Oost.
This morning 2 people were released. Updates on the rest of the arrestees will follow soon.

The Snakehouse/de Slang in Amsterdam, squatted for over 30 years, voluntarily handed over the keys yesterday. The building was then resquatted and an eviction is currently in progress. Updates on indymedia
From saturday 28th til tuesday the 31st of March 2015 there will be four days of solidarity actions for De Vloek. During these four days of ‘Carnival of the Undercurrent’, De Vloek will take over the city with a Streetrave and a Critical Mass Bike Ride, among other fun things. The Tabakspanden on Spuistraat in central Amsterdam today repelled an eviction attempt with paintbombs.
The buildings (opposite Vrankrijk) include the Slangenpand (squatted for over 30 years) and Middle East.
The latter sent out a call-out last week.
